Lack of communication and safety

First off - I understand that natural disasters are tough situations but the lack of communication and concern for safety has been awful. Eversource was able to get power up throughout my whole town except for the 40 something houses in my portion. I’m off a main road so access is easy. Currently there are tree branches blocking the roads and trees branches hanging on electronical wires. I’ve connected with the company multiple times expressing my concerns and though they understand how I felt they couldn’t help move up my time and i was told even with my safety concerns because of the size of the houses impacted we were not a priority. The situation has become so dangerous we had to leave our house. This was the absolute worst experience and still Eversource is not communicating well with us about updates. Our restoration time is the last possible it can be and the team is not giving us updates as to what is happening.

Brutal service

Brutal , lengthy time of Power loss when wind blows, power flickers when it rains hard. For the Price of electricity I don't care what mother nature throws people should regain there power quicker than 6-8 hrs! I can see and understand a hurricane , but wind & rain. Didn't this *** state of Ct just spend crazy money cutting and clearing tree's from lines, Great job there, did nothing. There needs to be a better way to transfer power when an issue occurs so people have power while another source is being corrected! Go under ground instead of near & between tree's that will fix 90% of issues and make sense! Wallingford Never looses Power with there Power Company. Rude, useless customer service that can NEVER provide answers. Hope another company comes around and puts Eversource out..Brutal service and turn around time!

Disgusting customer service

We are on day 4 of no power, which for us also means no water. There is a live wire laying across our front lawn which is really dangerous. It's ridiculous that I can't reach a human on the phone. We had a restoration estimate of 7pm yesterday and here we are 13 hours later and nothing. Horrible company.

Unacceptable!

It's 2018 and we're able to build a space station where people live for 6 months at a time. We can put a 4G network on the moon, we can find cures for disease through nanobot technology, we have actual robots and AI living among us, yet we can't get the power grid up and running almost five days after a nor easter, in New England. Really Eversource? Tell me.... when was the last time the CEO lost power and how long did he wait for restoration? Our system is completely archaic and the main problem is that Eversource has no innovation, pro-activity or forward thinking when it comes to regular maintenance. They wait until a major storm/outage to happen then they send out emergency crews with band-aids! Then come the hidden fees and the rate hikes. It's digusting and I'm sick and tired of this company monopolizing the market. And people are sheep! They get angry and complain but the moment their power comes back they're thanking them profusely. Thanks for what? for no communication? for no ETAs on restoration? for no trucks or action anywhere in my town despite them touting "hundreds of service vehicles working 24/7" Lies... I see vehicles sitting in parking lots and I see "assessment" vehicles baby-sitting downed lines. Worst organization ever! NEVERsource!

Extra charges

I have been charged three times for the same amount. I emailed and received a reply back “it will be credited back”.

No date on when? Now I have to pay overdraft

Fees at my bank. I had to call eversource again and they said we will let our billing department know. Why do you wait for customers to find out that you messed up vs.

you being proactive and reach out to customers.

You know that you had technical glitch and never said anything. Are you hoping that

People won’t notice that money is gone from their bank?

In spite of the fact that is January and temps are below zero, that we qualify for a financial hard ship and told them last month and it is illegal to shut power off on people that need electric to run their heat, this company shut our power off and told us we would have to wait a day or more for them to come back and turn it on. They are absolutely heartless and could care less about people...money is all they care about and they are charging plenty.

We are still waiting for someone to turn our power on so we have heat.they took our payment left us with no money but won't turn the power back on. 24 hours and counting.

Pure evil. They need to break this lawless monoply up.Zero empathy.

Same happened to us and temp was 12 degrees outside. I'm so mad I called Sunpower and having Solar panels put on and leasing them.

Will save over 24 k over 20 years. Not to mention the over production of solar that will land me a credit and I will get a check from Eversource when I demand it.

Delivery charges more than my bill! Extremely irritated

I have called on numerous occasions about the delivery charges being more than my actual electric usage and gotten the same run around about they are two different things. As I was told "It is like comparing shopping for groceries to purchasing a new car" or "Apples to Oranges".

I am tired of the comparisons. My bill has reached a high of over 1800.00. I am a family of 6 and I am on a budget plan but knowing I owe 1800 and each month the bill goes up more and more, I fear that I am not going to be able to make the payments on this as my budget plan is going to grow higher and higher, Someone has to step in and take control, or we need a new electric company for the state of Connecticut.

As a consumer, I feel like I am being robbed! This is highway robbery and I don't quite get how these people get away with it!

I totally agree my delivery is more then my bill. I dont remember 20 years being charged for delivery and if I was it was not higher then my actual bill.

Keep in mind that during this covid crisis the Government is offering not only to pay for millions of Americans monthly rent but also monthly Electric bills too. The Government does not do things out of the kindness of their hearts.

I agree it is totally ridiculous. Something needs to be done.

At these rates we can't afford it. My home is all electric. My usage is 350.00 my delivery charge is $444.00. Family of 7.

Payment plan is 1100.00 a month.

WE ALSO PURCHASED 2 POLES FOR THE ELECTRIC LINES. CAN I CHARGE THEM FOR USEING MY POLES?

No one at the Utilities care that you can not afford to buy groceries.. All they care about is creating more back door profits. The SBC charge is criminal and needs to end the Robin Hood ***

Eversource is comprised of disingenuous and money hungry people. How is this fair?? Our electric is they the roof every month and their payment plans are completely unreasonable. Their customer service is a joke. I have only once in 7 years had one employee actually help me without a serious attitude. You can here their eyes and necks rolling when they speak to you. Since Eversource is the only power company in the bankrupt state of CT you have no choices. You have no power and they know it. I am disgusted with this company and with our govt. for allowing this to happen to the residents of CT.

The facts speak for themselves. Power out over 12 hours in Greenwich. No trucks. Greenwich outage after 12 hours over 6000. Stamford over 2000. Everyone else in the hundreds and single digits. This is outrageous. Our numbers increase while everyone else is getting service. According to Eversoyrce they are still dealing with life or death emergencies.

Lost power for several days asked for credit for those days and was told very rudely sorry we don't have to credit you for storm related outage. Well I think it's terrible you charge for the full month even tho we hadn't had any service. Just another way to TAKE more money from you and I'm sure the state backs them up.

I live around many homes and businesses. They all have power except my street. We are right on the main road in Plymouth. Eversource best efforts is no where near to what is required. They do not deserve to be in business. Repairs is there moment to prove there worth. They are not equal to the task at hand. Shameful conduct. They do not care.

Pissed about skyrocketed bill in January 2018

All of a sudden our electric bill went from $51 per month to $560 !!!! There was no one even living in the house because we moved out and have the house for sale - so who was using electricity that month? Ghosts? This is a scandal if there ever was one. I suggest that pissed off customers like us should get together and file a class action law suit against Eversource. We called to complain to the company but of course they gave us the run-around. We had the meters checked and question the accuracy of the findings. We suspect manipulation of some kind. This is ridiculous.

The help by this company’s customer service during the March 2018 storm has been awful. I have been without power for over 2 days now and when I call unable to speak with customer service. The recording keeps saying they will call and we have not heard from them yet. Only time we received an update is when the recording said our power was restored however I had to call back and inform the recording the power was not restored. Very poor communication and customer service
