Uncaring and inalibity to listen to logic

My stepdad died and my mom has advanced Parkinson so had to go to nursing home since March. Gas was requested to be shut off and called 6-19 and received a confirmation that had to wait unit 7/5 but would be shut off.

The House in Shelton was empty for 6 months. Woodland Park. No bill for 3 months received until 2 days ago in Oct. $90.

Told that I called back to keep the gas on. I advised that is a mistake on their error. Nobody called, it's only me. My mom cannot speak.

Maybe a rep accessed the wrong account. Why in the world would we want gas on in a boarded up house for 6 months. Nope. too bad.

Sucks to be me. Pay the bill. Over and over anything I said was sorry. pay the bill.

Transferred to the manager Rikki in Ct call center. Sucks to be me. Pay the bill. Would not listen to a word I said.

I could of said the sky was blue. Pay the bill. Horrible Horrible customer service and uncaring reps who only goal is for you to pay the bill, Right or not. DPUC is next.

They even admitted no gas was used. Just 3 months of fees

If your looking for the worst customer service and uninformed people feel free to contact anyone at the Eversource company (formerly CL&P) I have never dealt with such rude people, not only one but 3 individuals one whom was a manager.. Sandy was her name and she was HORRIFIC to talk with, basically hung up on me when I asked to speak with someone in a higher position then she was. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND EVERSOURCE TO ANYONE THAT I KNOW NOT EVEN AN ENEMY!, If we are handing out stars for 1-5 worst customer service award would for sure go to them, they should feel so proud and honored to have such jerks working for them......

Cashing same check twice

The decided to cash the same check twice, six days apart in the same month. Same check number and amount. Called them and they said they received two different checks.

Very poor customer service and response for conditions

A small commuitiy had service out. Truck was sent out to reset fuses and that was the extent of service provided during an outage. Second truck and employees sent to finish job. Poor tome managment and waste of useable time for other repairs. 2 trips and fuel. Must be someone wanted overtime. Guess the bill will go up again. Rain and wind imagine a real storm.

Eversource Power Outages

We’ve had power outages in Groton and eversource has done nothing to get our power up and running again. Their customer service line is down. I have lost tons of money in food and have not been able to get any update from eversource. They are the worst electricity company I’ve dealt with.

Absolute Rip Off!!

I moved to Connecticut from New Jersey in January 2016. Learned that eversource is the ONLY supplier of gas and elictricity (aren't monopolies illegal in the US?) and set up service.

Quickly learned they are a RIP OFF!! I may use $70 worth of electricity in a summer month but my bill is $150? For what?! In New Jersey my supply charges were $5 a month.

You would think with eversource being a monopoly, they could afford to lower this charge.

Apparently not. Contacted them after the first time this happened and all they can tell you is "that's what it costs for us to deliver those services to you." I call ***!!

Eversource hires stupid people who have no idea what they are doing, don't know how to take a complaint, don't know how to get the complaint to the right department, don't know how to resolve complaints and REPEATEDLY ask the same questions over and over again. Boggles one's mind. One representative showed up on my door step, said he had a "ticket open" but he didn't know what it was for. When I explained the problem, he said he didn't know who would fix it or when and then asked ME if he should "close out the ticket"!! I told him to "Stop jerking me around!" I called Eversource back again and the customer "service" person started asking me the same questions that I had answered 3 days ago! I asked her if she didn't already have the answers to these questions, she said she did but she wanted to ask them all again to be sure they were written down correctly. I told her to add to my complaint and concern that NOBODY SHOULD COME TO MY HOUSE UNLESS THEY HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH ME!!

Alot of their techs in the field are equally as incimpentant as the *** who are in the office and phones. Rude, argumentative and ignorant about anything pertaining their gas service!

Crooked tries to rip you off

Last year worker was very rude.Recently I moved out told them what day to turn off electric,take it out of my name,etc.and I paid the last"so-called estimated bill"(if I had them come out and read the meter for the exact amount-they said it would be $30......)and the amount was the same as if I had been there a full month.NOW I have yet another bill stating they never received the final payment and now trying to charge me $34.99 even though I have not been living there.Have to spend a long time on the phone using minutes only to hear they are only taking calls for power outages also.They are always making excuses why they have to make extra charges for electric service in general even though electricity is almost a need in this day and age.CROOKED!!

Power outage 10/29/2017 and not once have I seen a truck around in three days but yet the company's all around me have service!! ***!!! eversource is definitely not on top of things unreal an the phone service sucks!

Same is happening with me! No power for 3 days now and haven't seen one eversource truck around here!

Customer service sucks, all automated can't talk to a person because they don't want to hear it since they're *** up big time!

Worst company ever! Will be hearing from me very soon.

I’m getting an email from ever source stating that they’re going to be upgrading the software and to go to their website to login for payment information I don’t even have an account with ever source so with that being said I presume this is a scam. Beware.

Tell me if this is not against some law for over billing

May 5, 2008 is when I got my first bill. Had not paid bill until it got shut off, they say.

It finally got shut off this year may 11,2017. I want to pay the bill. I have the money, $5796.40. My question is why didn't they shut it off after the first or second month?

When it was a little bit more affordable? Like $300.00 give or take. I know people that get shut off for lot less. There excuse is they could not get access to inside the property, right for 9 *** years.

*** what kind of business do they run. I wish there were another company.

Avoid if you Can

Unfortunately Eversource has a monopoly. If anyone can convince me otherwise , please fill me in. I get bad weather issues is a 'all hand on deck" for Eversource but thats your business. " Have a plan Eversource" . Your text program is pathetic. Repeatedly being told there are no issues in my area via the text. Really sitting in the dark , neighbors in the dark, no streetlights- Eversource repeatedly stating "No issues" -Finally received message "Type STAT' we will update in 20 minutes- Attempted "STAT" 6 TIMES- allowing 30 minutes in between each attempt. Still " we show no outage in your area" - Texting is a lost cause , right there with trying to call

Apparently you cant just make a payment of less than what you owe. I havent received a disconnect notice. My bill is not due until october 16th. Its $120.00. I wanted to pay half now and the other half later. The automated system told me that my payment wasnt enough to avoid disconnection and hung up on me! What in the world???..... every experience with eversource has had some sort of issue.

Terrible company

The fact that this company can shut power off for owning $230 and then make you put a deposit down to continue to have power is ridiculous. They also charge a additional $100 to have it connected the same day. I feel like I have been blackmailed.

Same day???? They didn’t even offer that to me they just told me we have to wait till Monday!!!!!

Now we have to stay with friends for the weekend!!!!

They are heartless people and the BBB gave them an A+ rating????!!!!! Someone is clearly getting paid to boost their rating, or they are getting free electric!!!
