Uncaring and inalibity to listen to logic
My stepdad died and my mom has advanced Parkinson so had to go to nursing home since March. Gas was requested to be shut off and called 6-19 and received a confirmation that had to wait unit 7/5 but would be shut off.
The House in Shelton was empty for 6 months. Woodland Park. No bill for 3 months received until 2 days ago in Oct. $90.
Told that I called back to keep the gas on. I advised that is a mistake on their error. Nobody called, it's only me. My mom cannot speak.
Maybe a rep accessed the wrong account. Why in the world would we want gas on in a boarded up house for 6 months. Nope. too bad.
Sucks to be me. Pay the bill. Over and over anything I said was sorry. pay the bill.
Transferred to the manager Rikki in Ct call center. Sucks to be me. Pay the bill. Would not listen to a word I said.
I could of said the sky was blue. Pay the bill. Horrible Horrible customer service and uncaring reps who only goal is for you to pay the bill, Right or not. DPUC is next.
They even admitted no gas was used. Just 3 months of fees

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
If your looking for the worst customer service and uninformed people feel free to contact anyone at the Eversource company (formerly CL&P) I have never dealt with such rude people, not only one but 3 individuals one whom was a manager.. Sandy was her name and she was HORRIFIC to talk with, basically hung up on me when I asked to speak with someone in a higher position then she was. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND EVERSOURCE TO ANYONE THAT I KNOW NOT EVEN AN ENEMY!, If we are handing out stars for 1-5 worst customer service award would for sure go to them, they should feel so proud and honored to have such jerks working for them......

I moved to Connecticut from New Jersey in January 2016. Learned that eversource is the ONLY supplier of gas and elictricity (aren't monopolies illegal in the US?) and set up service.
Quickly learned they are a RIP OFF!! I may use $70 worth of electricity in a summer month but my bill is $150? For what?! In New Jersey my supply charges were $5 a month.
You would think with eversource being a monopoly, they could afford to lower this charge.
Apparently not. Contacted them after the first time this happened and all they can tell you is "that's what it costs for us to deliver those services to you." I call ***!!

Last year worker was very rude.Recently I moved out told them what day to turn off electric,take it out of my name,etc.and I paid the last"so-called estimated bill"(if I had them come out and read the meter for the exact amount-they said it would be $30......)and the amount was the same as if I had been there a full month.NOW I have yet another bill stating they never received the final payment and now trying to charge me $34.99 even though I have not been living there.Have to spend a long time on the phone using minutes only to hear they are only taking calls for power outages also.They are always making excuses why they have to make extra charges for electric service in general even though electricity is almost a need in this day and age.CROOKED!!

Tell me if this is not against some law for over billing
May 5, 2008 is when I got my first bill. Had not paid bill until it got shut off, they say.
It finally got shut off this year may 11,2017. I want to pay the bill. I have the money, $5796.40. My question is why didn't they shut it off after the first or second month?
When it was a little bit more affordable? Like $300.00 give or take. I know people that get shut off for lot less. There excuse is they could not get access to inside the property, right for 9 *** years.
*** what kind of business do they run. I wish there were another company.

Terrible company
The fact that this company can shut power off for owning $230 and then make you put a deposit down to continue to have power is ridiculous. They also charge a additional $100 to have it connected the same day. I feel like I have been blackmailed.
